About MGDP 6.0

JSW MG Motor India introduces the MG Developer Program and Grant 6.0 in partnership with DPIIT, StartupIndia, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI), LICO Materials and Pulse Energy. 

MGDP is an innovation program, which aims to encourage developers and innovators, to build new solutions that solve India's mobility related problems. It is open to students, innovators, inventors, start-ups and other tech companies. The program offers mentorship and recognition to start-ups along with the opportunity to develop projects and work with MG and its consortium partners. So far more than 1550 start-ups and innovators have participated in MGDP over last 5 seasons.

Why to participate in the MG Developer Program Grant ?

The program offers a unique opportunity for innovators and developers to work directly with MG Motor and its technology partners to bring solutions to the market quickly. The consortium behind the program shall provide

Specialized, high-level mentoring, relevant to the practical development of the solution.
Learning and relevant content for solution and business development.
Business plan and modelling.
Network with other participants within the program to drive synerg.
Access to other startups and develop programs of consortium members, opening up a large opportunity.
Recognition with PR opportunity for winning startups.
Access to a grant amount. (Award of grant would be at the sole discretion of program jury, based on their evaluation, on a case-to-case basis).

Methodology of the program

Submit application online “Apply Now".
Shortlisted startups would be assigned a mentor to develop their ideas.
Present the idea on Demo Day (Dates and venue to be announced) to Jury.
Jury selects winners for grant and recognition.
Shortlisted companies and winners may also get an opportunity to test/ develop their solutions with one of the member companies. This would be decided and enabled by the assigned mentor.

Category under which application is submitted
Proposed solution in brief (100 words within the box provided)
What they seek from the program for the solution
Details of the proposed solution to be submitted as either of ppt, doc, pdf, jpg and mpg.
- Should include details of solution.
- Stage of development.
- Proposed business model.
- Traction, revenue, if any.
- Proposed cost of project/ development.
- Lead developers of the solution.
