MG Motor India has identified 380 Hector Diesel vehicles for a possible clutch fluid contamination in the clutch system. This may affect the operational performance where the clutch pedal may become slightly spongy.   

 

The concerned vehicle owners are being contacted by our dealer partners to bring the vehicle for inspection and replacement of parts, if required. This is at no cost to the customers. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We have sold over 60,000 MG Hectors since launch. These comprise of BS4, BS6 versions of Diesel, Petrol MT, DCT, CVT and Hybrid. 
 

During latest test, it was found that DCT BS6 had some variations in HC-NOx value. We investigated and found that there was some problem with a particular software and we found the solution which has been verified by the authority.

 

As part of improvement, it is hereby informed that an upgraded software which will help in improving and providing consistent performance in your Hector (BS6-DCT) has been developed

 

We expect to get the formal approval of the solution from the concerned authority shortly. We would be informing the customers (approx. 14000) and will reflash the updated software.

 

We plan to complete the reflashing by Dec 2021, COVID permitting.
