It is packed to the gills with features that make even the journeys feel at home. This time MG has taken the game forward with the level 2 ADAS tech. A safety tech so advanced that it can prevent a collision and has never been witnessed in the compact SUV segment before!

Cars nowadays come with a keyless entry where you don’t have to take the key out of your pocket. The MG Astor SUV, on the other hand, allows you to forget your key at home! With the digital key, you can unlock the Astor with your smartphone and start driving. Just sit in the best SUV in India, push the starter button and off you go. It’s that simple. The driver also gets a 6-way power adjustable seat to get in the right driving position and the convenience of rain-sensing wipers and auto headlamps. 

All the information the driver needs is displayed clearly on the 7-inch digital display. It is host to a tide of information other than the speed and tachometer like the tyre pressure monitoring system and MG Pilot. The steering is leather wrapped and comes with mounted controls for media and driver information display. 

Sitting flush in the plush dashboard of the MG Astor SUV is a high-res 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system. You get Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity plus the option of inbuilt apps like Navigation and JioSaavn. This is paired with a 6-speaker audio system. Also displayed on the touchscreen is feed from the 360° camera. This gives a birds-eye view of the SUV, so you are always aware of the objects close to the car. 

Look above the touchscreen, and the cute little robot is the Astor AI assistant. It moves and looks at you when you are talking to it and can answer any query, share trivia, tell jokes, and control certain vehicle functions like media, air conditioning and sunroof. 

Speaking of which, the Astor gets a large panoramic sunroof that extends back to the rear seats. This opens up the sense of space in the cabin. And if you worry that this will raise the temperature in the cabin in summers, worry not because you get fully automatic climate control along with the rear AC vents to keep you chilling. 

While these features will keep the family comfortable and entertained in the best family car in India, there are a lot of safety features in the MG Astor that will keep them safe as well. Credits to the level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which uses a camera and a front-facing radar to detect road marking, traffic, pedestrians and other objects. 

And this data offers features like lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, rear cross-traffic assist, forward collision warning and most importantly, auto emergency braking. Other safety features include six airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounts, all four disc brakes, electronic stability control, and hill descent control.
